Who we are

A community of hopeless idealists, of dreamers, of do-ers – that is who we are. We are part of a green revolution that is going to take the world by storm; that realizes we must act now to live tomorrow; that is taking charge of the future.
It's amazing how a little tomorrow can make up for a whole lot of yesterday.”

― John Guare, Landscape of the Body

History of the organization

StopWatch was not created in Conference Room A or B or C or in a cold, steel, corporate building as a publicity stunt; nor was it created by a middle-aged couple full of regrets, looking to give back to the world in an enthusiastic attempt to make something of their ambition. It was conceived in the classrooms and bedrooms and backyards of multiple teenagers looking to achieve what is needed, but conveniently ignored. A new organization driven entirely by the youth that has everything it takes to be the catalyst that this world needs to spur it into action, to turn them from unaware to socially conscious citizens, to bring change.

Who is benefitting from this organization?

The work of an environmentalist is never self-serving, nor is it quick yielding in results. Similarly, StopWatch cannot and will not promise a better, happier world in a couple of years, but what we can promise is that we will do our bit to make this world more homely for the generations to come. We may not see the fruits of our labor in our lifetimes, but our grandchildren will, and they will remember us as the generation that took this planet’s fate into their own hands. They will remember us for our effort, for our accomplishments, for our spirit.

To that end, we promise to take affirmative action against any environmental injustice that may occur; we promise to work towards a brighter future; and we promise to work tirelessly.

Take action now. Help save this planet.
